Juicing, a healthy lifestyle choice!

When one is thinking about any and all ways that they can improve their life, one needs to consider juicing. Why should you consider juicing? Doesn’t it take a lot of time to do this on a consistent basis?

Juicing Doesn’t Take Much Time


This is one of the first complaints that I hear from people. “I do not have enough time to juice!” My routine only takes a few minutes every morning. When I get up, I head into the kitchen and cut up some apples and carrots. This is one of my favorite juice recipes. If you are diabetic, this one is not for you. The juice is very sweet and it can spike your blood sugar.

I take the sliced carrots and apples (this only takes me about 3 minutes to wash and cut them up) and start to feed them into my juicer. I have one of those wide mouth models, so I do not have to cut the pieces up very much. It only takes me 2 to 3 minutes to push them all through.

Next, I clean up my machine. This only takes me about 3 to 4 minutes. All of the parts come apart very easily and I rinse them. After they are clean, I put it back together.

My entire routine only takes about 15 minutes. If I were to make a different type of breakfast, it would take me about the same amount of time. But, with this, I get fresh juice.

Always choose organic fruit and vegetables when juicing

This is your body. The only one you will get (as far as we know at this exact time). You want to treat it right, as it is going to be with you for a long time. That is the reason why I always pick up organic material to juice. It does not cost much more to get organic food, if you know where to shop.

Whole Foods can be a great place to pick up organics. I like to shop there, and I like to shop at my local Farmers Market. Many farmers use sustainable farming practices and grow organics. Spend some time getting to know them, and ask them about their methods. Use your gut to tell you if they are trustworthy or not. Using this method, I have saved thousands of dollars, and I got some great food out of it.

If you are too busy to go to the Farmers Market, then you can swing by your local Whole Foods or other type of store. Even Walmart has organic food. I was surprised to hear that Walmart is the largest seller of organic foods. I have not purchased any yet, but I have heard that they have great prices.

The many benefits of juicing

Once you start to juice on a regular basis, you will see the benefits. I was able to get my mineral levels up to a point that I had not done previously. I also was able to get the correct amount of vitamins each day. If I did not juice, I would have to take even more pills and multivitamins. You will feel more energized and have a increased level of health. If you have not started yet, make today your first day of juicing.
